PROJECTS
Throughout the month of October Kipps Future Leaders collected socks for the Montgomery County Christmas Store. We were able to donate more than 1300 brand new pairs of socks!
#4 Trick-or-Treat Kindness Notes
At Harding, students decided they wanted to give out treats for Halloween, not just receive them! Students wrote over 200 compliments to hand out on Halloween night as they trick-or-treated.
#5 Set up at the Christmas Store
At our December all county meeting, we had the priviledge of helping the toy department at the Montgomery County Christmas Store get ready for shopping days! We were also given a tour so our future leaders could see all of the departments!
#6 GLE Animal Shelter Drive
During November, Gilbert Linkous Elementary collected more than 150 items for the Montgomery County Animal Shelter!
#7 First Annual Turkey Trot
#8 Holiday Parade Kindness Notes
On Thanksgiving CLFL volunteered at the first annual Blacksburg Turkey Trot!
Captain Louie's Future Leaders teamed up with Sugar Magnolia for the Blacksburg Holiday Parade. We spent time writing holiday kindness notes on the back of ice cream coupons to hand out at the parade!
Thank you to the Mt. Tabor Ruritans for inviting us to help them for their September Fish Fry! Our future leaders had a blast breading fish, serving drinks and desserts and interacting with many community members.
This was a great treat for our group and we appreciate the support of the Ruritans. They are a very important part of our community!
#1 Fish Fry
On Thursday, September 27, our group was able to attend a packing night for Micah's Backpack. We had more than 40 future leaders and their family members show up to pack weekend meals for students in our community.
Micah's Backpack welcomes packers every Thursday evening from 6-7 p.m. We can't wait to help again soon!!
